Jesper Mørk new OSA Fellow
Professor Jesper Mørk, DTU Fotonik has been appointed 'Fellow' at the Optical Society of America (OSA).
The appointment of the Fellow title is based on Jesper Mørk's contribution the the understanding of ultra fast dynamics and slow light in semiconductors and the importance of this for lasers and ultra fast signal processing.
His research contribution at DTU Fotonik has made it possible to control the speed of light in semiconductor components to such a degree that practical applications in, for instance micro wave photonics, are within reach. Furthermore, his research has made it possible to control the speed of opto-electronic semiconductor components.
OSA is the internationally largest society within optics and covers fundamental science as well as optical technology.
