The High-Speed Optical Communications group breaks the world record in data transmission. Again.
DTU Fotonik has broken the record in the amount of data that can be transmitted by a single laser. It is a record in serial transmission.
The DTU Fotonik research group, High-Speed Optical Communications, now adds yet another world record to their accomplishments within the field of serial data transmission through an optical fiber.
The new record is a part of the scientists' continuous efforts to prepare the technology for the demands of the future.
The results were published at the annual IEEE meeting Photonics Society in Turkey last week.
